Acronym: Graphical User Interface

A graphical user interface (or GUI, pronounced “goo-ee”) is a human-computer interaction method that uses graphical images in addition to text and audio. If you are using a computer to view this article, you are probably using one right now. It is most likely referred to as an operating system desktop.

Some people use “GUI” when talking about graphical front end for command line interface tools or remotely controlled software (such as the eDonkey2000 core).
