Literally means the act of bringing something under international control or that which involves more than one country. It is the increasing integration and interdependence on the adoption of relations between nations such as international trade, international treaties, alliances, etc.

In this process, the basic unit of community and policy remains the nation, which has adopted a common framework, standard or protocol, for example, multiple language support, The International Date Line, Unicode, Java, copyright and Patent law and the metric system, to name a few.
