Node

In networking, an addressable computer on a network, possibly remote, which is able to both send and receive files. Nodes or peers have similar relationships to each other on a network such as Friend-to-friend or p2p. Some peers may be useful nodes sharing reliabile data persistantly.

In programming, a container which holds data and possibly links to other nodes.
