A Batch Process is a command (or series of commands) which are automatically repeated on a number of files. Batch processing can speed up certain computer tasks, freeing the user.
Sometimes a script can be used to create a batch process.
Examples
- Renaming files
- Cropping images, resampling, balancing, etc
- Leveling volumes across a set of music files.
