More often used to refer to personal weblogs than to collaborative ones. Few people would call Kuro5hin or Slashdot blogs, but a lot of individuals call their own weblogs blogs.
The term is perceived as irritating by many (“if I ever hear the word blog again …”), perhaps because it doesn’t make much sense and sounds too much like “bloke” or “bog”
Some equate the wiki with a blog.

- Wil Wheaton – A TV and movie actor who has been active in other segments of the entertainment and content industry.
- Educational Technology – Looking at technology and education
- Alison Headley – example of a random blog and some good writing
