Hot-button jargon words and text that spread like a saying. Feel good terms like karma, energy and God are used like buzzwords. Buzzwords can be found in advertisements, chat, political rhetoric and even literature. Buzzword can refer to words whose meaning is deliberatly hijacked or obscured and to those words whose meaning becomes twisted by perojative use, or distorted for malicious intent.
Buzzwords may also refer to keywords which are repeated for propaganda value. For example you might see a phoney weatherman on Faux News referring to “global warming” and “climate change” as buzzwords, when the scientific community understands these are facts, not jargon.
