1. The idea that we cannot have freedom as individuals without having free relationships with others, that no one person can be free unless we are all free and that for each of us to be free we must work together to insure that everyone else is free.

2. A technique of psychoanalysis of connecting a given topic to an open list of words. In psychology, these connections such as “hate = father” would imply that an individual is angry at his father.
