Immanuel Kant

A German philosopher who lived in the 18th century, from 1724 till 1804. He wrote several ethical, moral and critical writings. He was also intersted in natural science, physics and mathematics. Kant was intelligent, educated and quite the visionary. He did not favour monarchies and was cautious in matters related to religion.

Kant was truly a pioneer. He was the first person to consider the origin and evolution of galaxies in detail. One of his main contributions to science was his work on the idea known today as the Kant-Laplace hypothesis which explains how solar systems form out of interstellar dust.
