The development of the personal computer has spurned rapid development of information technology. Information is found on many types of media and can exchanged across a file sharing network, in many forms such as digital music and movie files, and played on the appropriate software. Many objects display written information, such as street signs, billboards, shop signs and even graffiti, however information can be transmitted from an infinite number of formations.
Information may in some cases be in direct opposition to anonymity, privacy or security. Information is often moderated and can be censored to restrain access to information of a particular nature. Language is also a concern.
Information can be distorted by misinformation or disinformation, misunderstanding, myth and delusion. Much is unknown, lacking the information required for people to accurately comprehend reality. Some information is not genuine or completely valid. For example, erroneous information created by fraud, hoax and fallacies. Other information may be incorrect because of a design flaws, system error or by random human mistake.
