A firewall for *BSD/Unix developed by Darren Reed, like PF, it comes with lots of features. IPF is currently the default firewall for FreeBSD. It supports casual features such as NAT, but together with AltQ it is also a good packet scheduler, for example. For a complete list of features, a FAQ on IPF, see the homepage (http://coombs.anu.edu.au/~avalon/). IPF runs on Unices such as Solaris, IRIX, QNX, the 3 major BSDs (NetBSD, OpenBSD, FreeBSD) and it even runs on Linux 2.4 and 2.6 (tested on RedHat 8 and 9).
