A portable Soulseek client written in Python and GTK2. The project started as a patch to PySoulSeek (aka PySLSK). Since PySoulSeek isn’t developed anymore, Nicotine has become a fork of PySoulSeek. It is written in Python hence it uses quite some resources. Limiting uploads lowers the resource hog heavily. Since Python is portable, Nicotine runs on various platforms including Linux distributions, FreeBSD, MacOSX and many more.
