Reliability

Reliability refers to a re-occuring dependance that persists over long periods of time. If something is reliable it has a performance level that maintains it stability and robustness so that it can be depended upon and trusted.

If something is reliable it may appear to have integrity. This can lead to increased trust and maintainence of a good reputation. Reliable things usually have a good status.

Poor Reliability

• Microsoft programs are often unstable, buggy, etc

Good Reliability

• BSD – has good uptime for web servers
