Sousveillance

A method for the public to monitor the establishment and provide a new level of transparency. This concept is attributed to Steve Mann.

‘Sur’ is French for ‘over’ and ‘sous’ is French for ‘under’. Although it’s not correct French to write ‘veillance’ after it (even though it does have connections with old french – ‘veil’) – I think you still get the point.
