Someone or a group of people who take a physical possession, from another individual or group which then owns less property. It is generally considered that thieves are tyrants, because they take away freedom and benfit from other expense.
There are certain times when thievary occurs on mass, for example, during riots and after major disasters. Such looting is often described incorrectly as anarchy when tyranny would be more appropriate.
Copyright suggests those who permit piracy are permitting civil disobedience when stealing another’s revenue. It is doubtful this cruelty for unlicensed use of copyright material is harmful to the arts but more damaging to industry.
