Zauber

See also: Science | Theory

Origin: German for “magic”

Used to describe a theoretical power, energy, radiation, oscillation or otherwise physical “thing” for which currently no word exists. Zauber could be used to describe things considered to be “meta-physical”, or in any case currently unproven by science.

Consider science fiction author Arthur C Clarke’s Third Law:

“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.”
